@ Bold : Exactly this. Random public showdowns are different thing but once you start working, it's something that is not completely avoidable. At least when you are at the starting point of your career. Mistakes happen and sometimes seniors lash out pretty aggressively and if not aggressive you do end up hearing some bitter things that bite you hard. And retorting is not always the solution unfortunately but I agree that it helps you work harder with much more dedication.


Retorting to a senior (especially one who is respected widely) is a step towards professional suicide. 😆
So no matter how feisty you are, you always have to just bear their snide remarks and occasional taunts. But in the long run it doesn't matter like you say, it actually helps you to maintain/increase your focus and make small incremental steps towards your goal. Or at least helps you to set goals if you don't have any. 😆 Who knows, the same senior may even praise you for your work someday.
