Thank you, I also think KJo in recent years is better than Adi.

Actually Adi's main problem is his writing. He is a very very weak writer and his ideas are rather...outdated, especially for today's scenario. They're fit for TV serials at best. DDLJ time mein he was modern as that was his generation (and DDLJ was written by Honey Irani also), but today is different..I can just see he thinks being modern = kissing every 2 secs.

KJo has kept up with the times better...even though his SOTY was horrendous. Adi's a decent director though... if someone like Habib Faisal or Jaideep Sahni writes the script, then he can direct and I would even be intrigued, but not for a film Adi writes himself..and unfortunately he writes everything he directs.

^To be fair to KJo (probably giving him too much credit but anyways 😆), I think SOTY's intended audience (or at least the complexity level of that script) was tweens at best. It was literally the equivalent of a High School Musical and absolute fluff/candy floss. He made that movie only to launch his 'investments' into the movie business...I don't think it was anything other than a calculated business decision.

That's true, I think he just wanted to launch them & prove that he can make a movie work without any stars...just on his name I guess.
