It is so much joy to see jungle book again relived in our adulthood!
And today's kids enjoying the same way, the giggle, laugh, chirping screaming in theater made it alive. Bliss!
I loved Baloo, he was always a darling...
Pleasant watch!

The Jungle Book had huge growth on Saturday and that too coming of a holiday in some parts of the country. The first two day business of The Jungle Book is as follows

Friday - 10,00,00,000

Saturday - 13,50,00,000 apprx

Total - 23,50,00,000

The film is all set to emerge a blockbuster and could turn out to be the highest grossing Hollywood film ever in India.

The Jungle Book Smashes Records

The Jungle Book is a record breaker as far as Hollywood films in India are concerned as it set a record for the highest weekend with a total of 40 crore nett and the another record for the highest collection in a single day for a Hollywood release in India as it grossed 16.50 crore nett on Sunday. This is also the first time that a Hollywood film has ever gone over 15 crore nett on a single day.

The daily business of the film was 10 crore nett on Friday, 13.50 crore nett on Saturday and 16.50 crore nett on Sunday. Despite it just being three days it can easily be said the film will be a blockbuster as the contribution for the dubbed versions is around 50%.

Normally Hollywood releases films are driven by English versions which eventually limits the business but here the with the dubbed versions doing so well especially the hindi versions the film will sustain well over the weekdays.

The Jungle Book is the first film of 2016 to do well all over something which no Hindi film till dat as been able to do.

The Jungle Book Set For 100 Crore Plus Business

The Jungle Book was rock steady on Tuesday as business dropped less than 10% . The first five day business of The Jungle Book is as follows

Friday - 10,00,00,000

Saturday - 13,75,00,000

Sunday - 16,50,00,000

Monday - 7,50,00,000

Tuesday - 7,00,00,000 apprx

Total - 54,75,00,000

The film is on course to become the first Hollywood film to cross 100 crore nett. Even though Fan will release this Friday, the trend suggests that The Jungle Book has the legs to cross 100 crore nett.

The Jungle Book Crushes Neerja And Kapoor & Sons In One Week

The Jungle Book has had an excellent first week of 73.50 crore nett with the collections on Thursday being better than day one and it was not as if day one was poor. It was a partial holiday on Thursday which pushed the collections to around 11 crore nett mark.

Basically the film has crushed the collections of films like Neerja and Kapoor & Sons in just one week. These Hindi films are hit films as they were well budgeted and liked by a small segment of the crowd. Its a different story in the media where its been said these films were loved and hugely appreciated but if thats the case what words are there to describe The Jungle Book which has genuinely been liked by audiences across the nation

There screen counts are comparable as well with The Jungle Book was released on 1500 screens which is same as Kapoor & Sons while Neerja was 1000 plus but got a bigger advantage of tax free so early in its run.

The Jungle Book has smashed records of all Hollywood films in India and is cruising to be the first Hollywood release to cross 100 crore nett and be the highest grossing Hollywood release ever in India. There is Shahrukh Khan's fan releasing today which will affect collections no doubt but there is enough appreciation there for The Jungle Book to continue to collect well over the next few weeks.

The Jungle Book continued to smash records on the eighth day with collections around 7.50-7.75 crore nett which is just 25% less than day one and there was a big film like Fan released. The film will probably become the highest grossing Hollywood release in India in just two weeks.

The business of the film now is around 81 crore nett in eight days and in some of the mass centres, the collections on day eight were better than the first day. Even a circuit like East Punjab dominated by multiplexes collected better on day eight than the first day.

The eighth day collections are the best of year and the way the film is going it could be the highest grossing film of the year beating the Hindi films. Airlift grossed 123 crore nett and The Jungle Book could beat that though obviously Fan has been released this week and that could also beat the Airlift figure.
