Initial reports are floating in that the actress died due to relationship woes

A young life cut short. Actress Pratyusha Banerjee whom we remember as Anandi from Balika Vadhu has reportedly committed suicide. The actress passed away in Kokilaben Ambani Hospital in Andheri. As per a news report, she attempted suicide earlier in the day and hung herself. When she was admitted to the hospital, she was pronounced dead.

The cause behind the drastic step is said to be issues in her personal life. She was extremely depressed by how things were shaping up with her boyfriend, Rahul Raj Singh. The two were in a serious relationship and planning to marry soon. When we got in touch with the hospital authorities they told us that they could not leak the information. We also called up her Balika Vadhu colleague Sidharth Shukla who said, "I also just heard the news and I am shocked. This is indeed very sad and depressing."

Pratyusha was best known for her debut role in Balika Vadhu. Thereafter, she shifted to reality shows and participated in Bigg Boss 7. Her last outing on TV was in Sasural Simar Ka where she played a daayan. The past few months were pretty controversial for her as she accused eight men of posing as cops and molesting her. Moreover, her boyfriend and she also faced flak for non-payment of dues after her birthday party at a plush suburban venue.
