Mathew McConaughey was Surprised that I Knew So Much About Interstella

Parineeti Chopra is on cloud nine as she got an opportunity to represent India at a prestigious event in Dubai where teachers were honoured, on March 13 along with Bollywood actors Akshay Kumar, Abhishke Bachchan and Ali Zafar.

"It was an honour to represent India at a charity event of this stature in the presence of Pope Francis who teleconferenced from Vatican City, Prince William, former US President Bill Clinton, present American Vice President, Joe Biden and His Majesty Sheikh Mohammed. It was surreal and I had goosebumps during the event. We were in a small little room and I felt too good and proud about myself. It was a great thing for the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign that I am endorsing. But of course, the highlight of the evening was to spend time and hang out with Mathew McConaughey and Salma Hayek," admitted Parineeti.

However, the talking point of the event indeed was Parineeti's picture with Oscar Winner Mathew McConaughey, which was photobombed by Akshay and Abhisek.

Ask her if she was angry with the stars for spoiling her picture perfect moment, and she laughs off and says, "No not at all. We were having lot of fun. We were chilling in Akshay's room clicking pictures, talking and discussing. Before the gala event started, we were all in one room we got time to spend. We literally got to hang out together. I am a big fan of Mathew and me getting 10 minutes with him was a huge thing. We spent 6 hours with them so it was a great night. We traveled with them in a buggy too."

She added, "McConaughey was surprised that I knew so much about Interstellar and that I have watched all his films. I am a big fan of Interstellar. I have read its screenplay and studied books on it. I love that film."

Meanwhile, Parineeti is now all gung-ho about hosting the TOIFA with Riteish Deshmukh. She concludes, "I love hosting. Preparations begin today. Riteish and I will rehearse on 16th. I enjoy hosting more than performing and Riteish is my favourite co-host. He is one of the most impromptu and lovely host."
