I don't remember exactly but I don't think the father understood.. from what i recall, it is only the school which was penalized for rusticating the girl. other than that, no justice was given,.. the father refused to see reason.. he was under the impression that this was his daughter's fault🤢
This is what I remember.. might be mixing two cases

No no I might be mixing too, but what I do remember clearly is the scene where the pervert sees the father coming to him and gets scared but the father tells him sorry and requests him to keep quite about it,and the pervert gives a sigh of relief🤢It disturbed me so much i will never forget it

Highway was a movie that carried with myself for a long long time. It seared me completely.

Veera's mother loved her but had the typical Indian mentality of "log kya kahenge." She showed her love for her daughter by buying her the most expensive things their money could buy, by fixing her marriage into an equally "high status" family but failed completely as a mother & sister. She was a weak woman wrapped in her & her family's image & that is what this movie showed beautifully-- How Image, false respect & "log kya kahenge" is what binds us Indians together & cuts through all socio-economic classes & how Veera & Bir surpassed that to create an identity in which they were secure & truly independent.

The scene where Veera is angry & raving in their drawing room & turns to her mother & says "sssh! Ssshhh!!!" Chilled me.

This is why I have not been able to bring myself to watch the movie. Once I heard that it was about abuse, I knew I wouldn't be able to forget it. I find myself still haunted by rape scenes from even the most random of movies, like the rape of Abhishek's sister in Raavan.

This is why I don't watch Crime Patrol. There was another episode about a father raping his 18 yr old daughter because the fraud family priest told him by doing this he could get a better job. 🤢

I found this so so disturbing that I stopped watching Crime Patrol altogether! Being a girl, any news or anything related to rape horrifies me more than anything in this world.

And the fact that all these are true incidents🤢

@Vedika; It isn't only about abuse, it's about true independence, securing your own freedom & how true freedom cannot be achieved unless you're solitary. This movie just shook me to my core & it was on my mind 24/7, for the next one week. You should watch this movie. It's a movie to be watched though I can't watch it more than once but it's a movie that needs to be watched once.

I completely agree, even more than violence, psychological violence & trauma disturbs me completely. I absolutely loathe watching or seeing incidents/movies/shows dealing with such violence.

I absolutely DETEST Crime Patrol!!! It's so massively depressing!!!! One can't imagine whether these are humans or devil in human form. The worst are the cases where the family/loved ones are conflicted & are forced into allowing/letting their loved ones be abused. It's the most depressing, horrifying, terrible, devastating thing to watch... And the aftermath is far, far, far worse. It kills you.

Comparatively, Savdhaan India is much much better. Am hooked to it because it shows the perpetrators nicely defeated & the abused emerge as victors... Justice is basically, Righteous Revenge.
