The regressive left are a bunch of guilt-ridden, mostly uppercaste, pseudo-secularists, pretentious liberals who defend backward, regressive, hateful ideologies in the name of fighting for the "other". So they will support jihadis and islamists because they are part of the minority. That's why whenever there is a terrorist attack, these regressive-leftist nutjobs start condemning the state/majority instead of the actual perpetrators, they try and justify and rationalise it by saying that we must be doing something wrong for them to behave that way, because god forbid, expecting a certain section of a minority community to behave like human beings is too much to ask for.

And this hoisting flag issue is the same thing, they argue that it "offends" certain minorities, and this regressive left lunacy isn't limited to India, it's widespread. A few years ago, a school in Sweden banned the display of Swedish flags lest it offends certain communities, lmao.
