I stand with Anupam Kher: Shabana Azmi

Critically acclaimed actress Shabana Azmi has expressed support for Anupam Kher after he was denied a visa to Pakistan. She says a similar situation was once faced by her husband, celebrated lyricist Javed Akhtar.

Shabana tweeted: "Some years ago Javed Akhtar, chair of delegation to Pakistan was denied a visa. Organiser cancelled the entire trip . I stand with @RoflGandhi... Oh ho! I meant I stand with Anupam Kher if he was denied visa."

Anupam on Tuesday claimed he was denied a visa to visit Pakistan for the Karachi Literature Festival, which begins on Friday.

However, while 17 out of the 18 Indians who were due to go for the event, received their visas, the 60-year-old said he was "singled out".

On Wednesday, he said that he has now been offered one. However, the veteran actor has "given away those dates" and won't be travelling.

what is the issue here?missing the lit festival
or being denied the visa?if Pakisthan has denied it
now they have offered it to..take it n end the matter..
why creating issues?to draw spot light right?
why did anupam ji refuse visa now?
so nt being denied visa is the issue the main issue they all are trying
to create is religious bias..anupam ji shabana ji are nt kids that they
keep talking on this sub n making it bigger n bigger..what do they want?
that we call Pakisthan Intolerant to Hindus n we are more tolerant to Muslims?

these ppl makes issues n we the common men suffer..with stupid unrest n riots
due to biased hatred..🤢
