AB was huge from early 70s to late 70s ...73 to 79 to be precise...post that he just had one -off hits such as coolie & Sharaabi...In 80s he was pretty much delivering flops...Retired in early 90s!
RK was huge from late 60s to early 70s..by '74 he pretty much folded up...
SK had a major slump in early 90s post Saajan when HAHK bailed him out...Post KA too he delivered flops one after the other until PKTDK happened...Plus he had a MAJOR lull in the entire decade 2000-2009!
AK was hit & miss before lagaan...Post QSQT he gave a no. of flops...He was nowhere near SRk & Salman in 90s...Post lagaan he was more successful but not until ghazini was he a major draw at box office...
SRK has been in the game pretty much for the last 23 yrs...he had flops but not even 2 bad years in succession ...
Even tom Cruise ain't relevant anymore & delivers flops...SRK keeps ,marching on so much so that he is written off post 150 crore domestic & 360 crore (& counting) WW grosser!!!

I wouldn't compare the popularity of any BW actor with HW superstars because HW movies have universal appeal...so its natural that the stardom of HW stars is on a different level...also HW stars are not written off with age...

In India IMO...the biggest star after AB Sr and Rajesh Khanna will be Shahrukh Khan...if we look at the whole careers and not just 4 or 5 years...Shahrukh has never slid down from the TOP 3 ...so that itself beats everyone..

Lmao comparing Tom Cruise with SRK is joke. Tom cruise is the most successful actor in America ever delivering over 20 movies each 100+ million dollar grosser. that's about 4-6 billion dollars world wide which is about Bollywood's entire existence and years to come since Tom is still delivering Blockbusters.

As for Bollywood the most successful Megastar ever is still Dilip Kumar with success ratio of over 80% which is beyond impressive and achieved everything with the least amount of movies.

Hollywood record belongs to Tom Cruise.

Leo is fabulous , charismatic .. I love him since I was a kid when I think I would call him as Jack Dawson only ..

Leo is 2nd most successful now to Tom now, if he continues he can beat Tom, but the problem is Tom was making movies since 1980's and was delivering Blockbusters like the ICONIC movie TOP GUN.
