Donno about Srk as he has given bad and really disappointing films in last 5 years but I disagree about Tom Cruise .. Cruise never had a true flop in past 30 years barely one film in which he played a cameo .. Otherwise his films are both critically and box office successes with him being one of the highest paid in Hollywood still after 35 years .. It's arguably a fact that Tom Cruise is the last true blue movie star ..

Srk is no doubt a great movie star but it's disrespectful to put down Tom Cruise because doesn't matter even if SRK has money , Tom Cruise is still the icon, legend and movie star which Hollywood also has not found a replacement yet ..

Most certainly, after AB Sr. Of course. Even non SRK fans have to admit this. That doesn't mean all his films are super hits. He had his time in the 90s/early 2000s. He's still very much relavent today, but things and time have changed. If there is one actor that will be remembered as one of the iconic legends going down the line, SRK will most certainly be in the top 3.

My needle has gotten stuck in the SRK/Tom Cruise thing . I say we transition this thread on all BW stars and their HW counterparts . Another one I think goes well is Robert Downey Jr & Salman . Or Tom Hanks & Aamir. 😛

Couch jumping and Scientology are his personal affairs and doesn't define his irreplaceable run as a movie star .. Edge of tommorrow and jack reacher , both these films are hits and critically acclaimed due to which paramount has already made Jack reacher into a franchise .. Oblivion underperformed , but isn't a flop or shameful as HNY or Ra1 is and has made profits ..

And as you have said knight and day , again underperformance when compared to Cruise films but still popular in pop culture and loved enough to be remade into a Bollywood film and was declared a hit ..

As I said when you are have lion for lamb and rock of ages where Cruise didn't play the lead and had smaller roles , which were flops, you know that argument is invalid as even SRK has one bolli and Fulham milgaya ..

Consider dilwale with edge of tomorrow ( I'm not taking mission impossible 5 as it's bound to be a blockbusters which it is ) and check the performance and reviews, Cruise still tops .,

I'm not saying cruise is still the Tom Cruose which he was till 2006 but he's still the last of those movie stars which Hollywood has not found a replacement yet and its too much stretching to say that SRK is bigger than Cruise which SEK himself has not proved since last 5 years .. Dilwale is a WW hot but why do you overlook the fact that Kajol was starring and they tried to sell the film purely on nostalgia which again makes dilwale similar to mission impossible films if comes to performance ...

Last years forbes declared Cruise as the last movie star .. I'm in phone so can't share the article but you can google it

Plss Amir can't even come close to Tom hanks' toe nail .. And it's better to compare Salman with south superstars instead of Hollywood stars ...

Robert Downey Jr is all about tony stark and you will be surprised when I tell you that initial Tom cruise was offered iron man and even batman both of which this guy rejected ... Robert Downey je is perfect as iron man though , so no qualms there
