@Bold::If you look at those content films, not even SINGLE FILM is CLEAN HIT, best they got SEMI-HIT... Now which content films were clean HIT??? Every film having CONTENT with STARS... Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Bajirao Mastani, Piku, TWMR, inn sab mei Content that jo aajkal ka craze hai, but yehi HIT hui... jabki woh IRRFAN waali film Talvar HIT bhi nahi hui...Salman can survive without Content, only he needs a big content film to Score HIGHEST, same can't be said about others...IRRFAN Talvar HIT nahi kara saka, NAWAAZ can't make MANJHI hit, also my fav RANDEEP Fell flat with Charles Shobraj biopic.
On blue. I don't think Deepika or Kangana are superstar (no doubt star) heroines. First day collections are not that high compared to Khans (I don't know about the number of theatres they released.). What made their movies hit was their content. Similarly Vidya Balan is not superstar. But she could make her films hit. Except Silk which had erotica, others sold on content. Wednesday had no stars.
Even if the film has substance (content), it still needs a spirited narration. Wednesday, CDI, Kahaani, OMG, BB.. all have it. When narration gets boring or preachy (MNIK, Swades, Jai Ho) people get bored.
On red. At the moment, all Khans can survive without content. Even Dilwale is a hit. But how long can they sell a film just with their name, when they have hit 50?
