Worldwide Box-office: Dilwale' beats Bajirao Mastani'

Rohit Shetty's Diwale' starring Shahrukh Khan, Kajol, Kriti Sanon and Varun Dhawan defeated Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Bajirao Mastani' at the worldwide box-office. Dilwale' garnered Rs 338.75 crore worldwide since its release on December 18.

Dilwale' earned Rs 187.25 crore at the domestic box-office while grossed Rs 151.50 crore overseas.

Dilwale' has opened well in international territories like Malaysia, Kuwait, Indonesia despite not performing so well in India.

"Dilwale has been received very well across the globe, the film has created new benchmarks in key international markets. We are happy to share Dilwale is second biggest grosser of 2015 in international markets, over all it's the third highest grosser of 2015," Gaurav Verma, Chief Revenue officer, Red Chillies Entertainments, said in a statement.

"Few key markets like Germany, Peru are yet to open which will add more to international numbers," he added.

Bajirao Mastani' overall business is Rs 301 crore. Despite performing much better than Dilwale' in the domestic arena, Bajirao Mastani' is lagging behind Diwale' by around Rs 40 crore.

God willing Fan and Raees will do very well, I know critics will love those movies but I hope those Sena thugs dont try to disrupt Fan screenings.

Someone PLEASE make a thread on main forum that Dilwale has crossed 350 crores worldwide and SRK has 1000 crores in his kitty! Im going out now, will return later and reply. 😛

Just wanted to say I have thoroughly enjoyed reading all of yours opinions barring the trolls..lol! But they have been super entertaining😆. Can't wait to have more lively discussions as Shahrukh has two more movies coming up this year! The expectations from both are already through the roof! Hope they do great at not only the box office but also with the critics! High time Shahrukh got that critical acclaim too! As for Dilwale, hope this party keeps going. It's too much fun!
