Oh I absolutely agree with the bit where actors think they deserve it for a movie and then when they don't get it they stop attending. I find that rather petty like I stated before. And I don't get why Kangana stopped attending too since she has got awards for performances of hers that were really good. I think that decision of hers was more her following Aamir's path than anything else.
And you do have a point that why should these award juries give them awards when these people don't care for them. But my point there was more about credibility than anything else. When you give Deepika best actress for HNY over Kangana for Queen then those questions will get raised. It's a cycle basically. If people don't want their events to be questioned on the issue of credibility then they should give the darn award to whoever the jury seems fit, whether they are able to attend it or not. At the same time like you said I also understand why some of them refuse to do that as the people on the receiving end don't give a damn..lol.
