On the surface, it's Salman obviously.

But if we analyze the situation, SRK is more of a guilty party. He's worked in the most expensive movie until then; a sequel to a remake of a cult movie; with the most legendary film director of romance; with the baap of masala movies - all of these movies have been packaged well, promoted properly, and was branded keeping the business in mind.

Salman rarely did such things in his low phase. And, we all accept that SRK is more intelligent and thoughtful than Salman, while Salman is more rash and impulsive.

There's a lot to consider before we give the verdict.

Unfair comparison.

SRK in his worst period is still a big star, with hits in India and Blockbusters worldwide.

Salman in his worst period was like a journeyman, a cow boy, a B level actor making crap films.

i remember an article by taran adarsh post the release of salaam e ishq in which he even suggested that salman should take inspiration from abhishek bachchan in terms of acting and script choices.

this pretty much itself proves how bad that phase was
