When Dp thought Ranveer was too much!

Ranveer Singh, whose latest film, 'Bajirao Mastani', has got an amazing response at the box-office, completed five years in the Hindi film industry on December 10, 2015. When Ranveer and his co-star, Deepika Padukone, were in Delhi for the promotions of the film, we asked Deepika as to what was the first impression that she had of Ranveer.

She said, "I have seen all of his movies. Some I have liked, some I have not. But I was blown away. I am gonna be honest and say that when I saw the promos of the film ('Band Baaja Baaraat') first, I remember someone saying, 'Oh my God! He is the next superstar' and I remember thinking to myself, 'He is too much'. And then I watched the film and realized that he has such amazing screen presence."

The diva further said that she had mistaken Ranveer to be a Delhi guy going by his amazing portrayal of a Delhi guy in 'Band Baaja Baaraat'. She said, "Someone like me sitting in the theatre actually believed that he was from Delhi. It is only later on when we met at some party, I asked him, 'Oh! So you moved to Bombay?' He said, 'I am a Bombay boy'. That's when it hit me that he had played a Delhi guy. It is amazing that he could do that in his very first film and till date, it is my favourite performance."
