She's engaged and dates have been set . I don't wanna just broach this topic cause it could get turned into something controversial . An it would start for a lack of a better word a "Tamasha"

I don't wanna do that unless I find some concrete evidence that this guy is doing something wrong . If he checks out then I'll let them live happily ever after

What Tamasha man? Just have a private conversation with the girl. She will either say yes or no. If she says no then let it go. If she says yes then remember you still have 8 months. Families can be convinced.. its not like already shaadi ke card baant diye hain. You have time. Its just one conversation. Go for it.

Don't waste your time on checking out the guy. That's her family's and her own responsibility. You are not her Daddy. Don't think too much. If she isn't interested or if you do not have the guts to create the tamasha, just let them be. Find another nice girl and start dating.

Your right and when I found out about her engagement this past summer I was cool with it . It's just I saw her this past weekend (thanksgiving weekend) for first time in a few months and we had Fanta and played charades so I guess I got nostalgic and rekindled old feelings . Also a lot of people around me are getting married/have got married in last 2 years so I didn't wanna be left out . Maybe I'll leave well enough alone . An just have a baller time at her wedding .

I know it might be difficult for you to be at her wedding. Why don't you ask her at least? See either she is having a love marriage or an arranged one. you would know better. If it is a love marriage then ya let it be. But if she is having an arranged marriage, then maybe you should give a shot at asking her to be with you instead. Many girls would love to marry a guy who they've known a long time and is in love with them instead of just going for an arranged marriage. Ask her man .. ask her at least once.
