Why would Deepika Padukone promote her upcoming film Tamasha in Bigg Boss 9 without the film's leading man and her ex Ranbir Kapoor? woh bhi, two episodes! Seems, the answer lies in the heading of this story.

A source from the broadcasters of Bigg Boss 9 has thrown us off our chairs. We are told that after RK said 'No' to visiting Bigg Boss set, Deepika was sent to the show with a single point agenda - to test the chemistry between her and Salman Khan for Yash Raj's upcoming biggie Sultan.

After all, she is the reigning Queen of Bollywood. And Salman is at the top of his game. So while the programming team wanted to cash in on their presence, it also served as a good platform to see how the two look together.

Don't forget the other pointers that give credence to the latest whisper.

Check Deepika's date diary and you'll see she hasn't signed anything after Tamasha, leaving ample room for a big project.

Next, Salman was always keen that the leading lady of his wrestling drama should be either Kangana Ranaut (who was YRF's head honcho Aditya Chopra's first choice) or Deepika.
