The anticipation of Gerua went viral and was the most trending topic on social media. The launch event was held at the historic Maratha Mandir, which still runs Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol's 1995 blockbuster Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge (DDLJ). Shah Rukh revealed that Rohit had envisioned the song much before they picturised it."Rohit Shetty felt that since Kajol and I are coming back on screen after so many years, we should at least try to make this song stand out, something which is better than all the other songs that we have done together before. Dilwale directed by Rohit Shetty and also stars Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon and Boman Irani in lead roles. The film is set for a December 18 release.
