@zara - yes it seems to be a maharashtrian tradition.. i remember reading article abt pinga in BM sometime back and had asked my marathi friend about it.. Glad that SLB is trying something new which most ppl are not aware of.. I love period movies, so curious to know about history and such traditions.. and the saree is a traditional nauvari saree.. SLB has done lots of research n has concentrated on minute details too.. Kudos..

Oh and I hope SLB keeps it completely Maharashtrian this time. I became so excited listening to the starting Marathi bits in the begining of Dewani Mastani and then it sounded like the usual SLB Gujju tune :S

I don't know how well BM will do but so far it's the only movie out of the recent ones that I have liked the teaser/songs of.

Why are people having a problem that there is a song with the two dancing in it and if there was something also in reality? There are important aspects which need to be in the movie and the rest is the creative input of the director. Especially if it comes to Mastani and Kashibai i think there is not that much written about the two. I am not sure but i read somewhere that Bajirao wanted that his wifes should get a long with eachother because he loved both for different reasons so he insist that they should spend time together. So yeah if there was a festival why shouldnt both dance together. Dont think Bhansali just put out of place a song into the movie he would hava a reason and it will fit into the storyline.

They look really...bland LOL...Theyre not standing out, they dont look as epic as Ash-Madhuri did, plus both of them are pretty below average dancers...and nowhere near Ash/Madhuri
