Is Shandaar a reality check for Alia?

So KJo's baby is on her way towards experiencing her first flop...

I like her acting and a part of me does feel bad for her coz I'm sure she must have done a decent job

but then I also feel she has been hyped so much that perhaps it will be good for her to have a reality check and come down to earth for a bit...

Thoughts?

It seems the film has gotten panned . Maybe a change of style is do . A tan for one 😆😆

Alia got good reviews so in that aspect she's safe but I hope it does teach her to branch out and cut the cord from KJO. He may have made her career but over dependance on him will ruin it. She can't do Dharma rom-com's forever.

Alia gets babied like rest of the star kids. She is strictly okay in her films. Only film she impressed me was Highway and nothing else.

Its good that she had a flop she was pretty mediocre in all her movies and took all the credit. I think the heropanti girl is a much better actor than aloo and she looks more sexy then her. Aloo should start romancing in those kiddy disney movies where she belongs

Alia and Shahid are the saving grace of Shandaar.

Alia is brilliant. She is so relaxed as an actor and very comfortable in her own skin. She is not a clone of any actor. She just is - herself.

She gained experience by working with Pankaj Kapur and not for once did it feel like he overshadowed her.

She is still young. These are early days. She can afford to have many flops. She is here to stay. She has more talent than Deepika, Sonam and Priyanka combined. She does not need their marketing gimmicks:- underhanded PR tactics, supposed fashionista projections or global acting experience.

Reality check for what ??
She's not like kangana or deepika who do verbal war.
If reality check then its dharma.
After dharma's this is there second flop.

Alia is a good actor, but she is not amazing and can progress.In fact although she is natural- she comes across as if she's playing her self in these romcoms- and she's childish. Her most praised performances won't be from rom coms but from films like highway or udta Punjab. Alia fans will watch Rom coms of hers but if you put any energetic cute young girl on screen - they will be able to act like she does in these Disney like movies. She needs to tap into more of her potential and branch off from dharma.

Alia didn't get a single bad review for Shaandaar (at least I haven't come across one). Even Highway did average business but she was critically acclaimed.

In Shaandaar, she's does great. In fact, she's one of the best things about the movie. She's perfect as Alia Arora. Why does she even need a reality check? She's a great actor who is getting better with each movie and she has always been very grounded about her success.

Speaking quickly and in a high-pitched voice does not eqaute talent. She is a less talenetd version of Bebola, overhyped from day one by KJO.
