No it was Shiv Sena I m sure about this. It was the thing with North Indians and Biharis working in Maharashtra. Don't know about ration card but it was like an ID card or something as in a permit to enter Maharashtra if u r an outsider like what happens in US. It is like a passport only if its a permit na thats why said passport.

When Pak government refuses to co-operate every damn time , then why so much meherbani on Pak artists?? Even after several attacks from that country, we are still happily welcoming Pakistanis... Why will they bother to co-operate if everything for them is still as smooth as silk?

BTW if people are thinking Shiv sena is being too much (I am not supporting it , but..) then they should go and see what had happened to Srilanka's cricket team when they went for a series in Pakistan!

Talented TV actors are offered C grade erotic shits, and Pakistani actors get to work with A-listers and big PH!

Indians ka dil bohot bada hai!

To be a progressive country, we should compare ourselves with the likes of First World Countries and not with regressive countries or countries at the same per as us.. If we keep comparing ourselves with the back-benchers, how do we come out as winner ? 😕

Anyways, all talent should be appreciated irrespective of the political status.. And Paki actors are not only good, but few of them are gorgeously beautiful, much more than some of Indian actresses too..

I loathe the political approach of Pakistan and their strategies, however, that has nothing to do with Talent ! 😛

Shiv Sena most of the time doesn't even want Indians entering Maharashtra. Someday they will want Maharashtra to turn into an island and float away somewhere.

😆
True that!

Nope! It was Raj thackrey alone who did all that , ofcourse with his followers!

50% of shiv sena members hail from UP and bihar, that's just not possible for them to do! Shiv sena is led by Udhav Thackrey, and Raj Thackrey now has his own party!

I couldn't find any other link but this is what I found... I clearly remember it was Shiv Sena but yes MNS was also working with them.

http://www.rediff.com/news/2008/jan/07id2.htm

The Shiv Sena on Monday said that identity cards should be made compulsory in Mumbai too so that 'outsiders' are not allowed to enter the city without some sort of permit.

'The Delhi government has woken up to the threat posed by terrorists,' an editorial in the party's mouthpieceSamana said.

Defending the compulsion of ID cards, it says if the police stop somebody to check his/her identification papers, it does not impinge on the person's liberty. It also congratulated Delhi chief minister Sheila Dikshit and the Delhi police for making ID cards compulsory in the national capital.

The editorial also rails against 'floods' of migrants coming into Mumbai, and further says ID cards should be made compulsory in every city of the country.

To be a progressive country, we should first look at our artists ... approach them and arrange stage shows for them!

BTW wasnt comparing Pak with India, there's no comparison whatsoever, I was just saying Pak government doesnt deserves the generosity India shows at times!

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2008_attacks_on_Uttar_Pradeshi_and_Bihari_migrants_in_Maharashtra

Also found Bal Thackeray calling Biharis beemaris. How on earth are they part of Shiv Sena then? 😕

That was the time when Raj Thackrey was working with Shiv sena, so ofourse Shiv sena will be mentioned. But no other big leaders of Shiv sena supported those things. Raj Thackrey alone was responsible for that!

Dear Zesty, Its okay if no Pakistani is allowed to enter Mumbai.
But threatening those who have entered doesn't make Shiv Sena goons bravehearts. Go in front of consulate and protest. Attacking a Pakistani in Mumbai will only give India a bad name in the eyes of world.
