Adi's gift to Rani!

His Befikre, which goes on floors soon, will release on their child's first birthday in 2017

Yash Raj Films' head honcho Aditya Chopra made a very special announcement on his father Yash Chopra's 83rd birth anniversary on September 27. Adi had announced that he would return to direction with Befikre and it would be a love story. At that point, we told you that Ranveer Singh and Vaani Kapoor had been finalised for this YRF film. We now hear Befikre will hit theatres in January 2017.

A source close to the production house exclusively informed us, "Adi is planning to release his dream film around the birthdate of his first child with Rani. Buzz is that Rani is due in late January or early Feb 2016. So as a sweet gesture Adi plans to release the film on the Friday that falls around the first birthday of their child. This will be Aditya's special gift for Rani."

Vaani Kapoor tries various looks for Befikre

We had told you that either Parineeti Chopra or Vaani Kapoor will be co-starring Ranveer Singh in Aditya Chopra's Befikre. And now we hear Vaani has been finalised for the role. Says a source, "The girl opposite Ranveer needs a specific look for the film. Vaani has been trying out new hair styles and outfits for the part. She has already done a few hair and dress trials and a few more are lined up. They will finalise her look for Befikre soon." Vaani made her debut in Shuddh Desi Romance two years ago.

2017? i really hope this is untrue, ranveer needs a movie for 2016

And why wud the movie take a whole year to make? and why does it hav to release on the day of his childs 1st bday, that makes no sense at all

lol ranveers hair can grow in a month, the movie doesnt look too difficult to make, it needs couple of months filming and then it will be done, it can easily release in 2016

Its difficult to release in 2016 because all the big dates are booked by Sultan..raees. dangal etc
Better to release it in 26th jan time

the big dates r always taken by khans, even in 2017 they will be taken by them aswell lol

adi just needs to giv it a solo release and then it will be fine, but this is just a rumour at the moment, not confirmed

They'll probably start filming after BM releases and after his baby is born...which could be Feb/March-ish. So by the time the movie is ready, it'll be end of the year. So I guess this makes sense.

The good dates for the second half of 2016 are taken so it could be true that he will release it in 2017. When it comes to Ranveer i think its not the only movie he will do so i think there will be at least one release next year. But why does he wants to cast Vaani??? He should launch a new girl.

If he really wants to relaunch a girl who has already made a debut then it shud be Diana Penty... from the comments on befikre threads it's obvious most ppl aren't keen on seeing Vaani in this film... she's very lucky to be launched again like that... she hasnt done anything after SDR to show that she deserves this
