For those who are saying that Jazbaa is performing badly - Jazbaa is actually doing very well for a women-centric film with no big hero, no popular music or glamour!

Jazz Stands at 4.23 Crores - compare that to the first day of other women-centric films:

English Vinglish - 2.5 Crores

Kahaani - 2.9 Crores

Gulab Gang- 2.41 Crores

Queen- 1.80 Crores (

HIghway - 3.45 Croes (film had good music as a bonus though)

NH10 - 3.35 Crores

Even if Jazbaa flops, the opening itself shows Aishwarya's star power. Her film has opened bigger than the legendary Sridevi and Madhuri's films and even the younger actresses. But yeah, from here on-wards it all depends on content, WOM and how good a film is, every film trends different, but opening days a good indication of Star Power + Hype.

There are some female films that have opened larger than Jazbaa though...like Ragini MMS-2 but thats because it had chartbuster music and a huge sexuallly-deprived audience dying for such a film, not to mention it was a sequel!

Same with Mary Kom - its based on a celebrated and renewed athlete in India. Both films opened at 8 hours but had a lot of factors working for it!

On a larger scale, it wont. This year BW has tapped up to women centric films. And they have contents rather masala BBs of superstars.

So, its a good trend. Brainless masala can bring the money, content rich movies will be made.

As for Ash, she can even star in any movies. Jazbaa was the test and she passed it to come back.

Not gonna watch YDHM... not my type. But all the best.

More women centric movis r welcomed, coz they have substance, and for big BO for BBS and ATBBs. I like to save money and time. Torture.

At least Aish does a variety of genres.
Her next ADHM is unusual. Must be a meaty
role. We don't get to see her do many roles
where she puts her hair down. 😳

She is above it, because her popularity and star power is not dependant on the box office, as compared to Madhuri who gave 2 flops and has now disappeared and even got thrown out of Jhalak due to her lack of appeal 😆 There are very few actresses who can deliver unsuccessful films and still be in demand and still be talked about and still get work!!!!

It is VERY easy to give hits and be popular..but to sustain your stardom despite giving flops and even after being away from films for 5 years is huge.

Lets see how Deepika/Katrina/Priyanka last after giving back to back flops. I guarantee you they will be forgotten in a heartbeat. The same happened with Vidya, Kareena, Rani -werent they the queens of Bollywood? What Happened? A few flops and BOOM Suddenly no one cares for them!
