I swear if someone asked her "What is your name?" she would come up something like:

"The world perceives me with the name that my parents have chose and what has come to represent me in all my pursuits from the Hindi film industry to on a worldwide platform. I am so blessed and my well-wishers are so precious to me and always tell me that I was ahead of my time in being given a name like Aishwarya and I will always keep that in mind. I wanted to honor my surname and decided to keep Rai even when bestowed with the world famous Bachchan tag and now others are following what I was the first to do. I am humbled and very very secure in what a real person I am and what a real family I belong to.
