Favourite Movie Scene

This scene for me is the best movie scene I have ever watched in a movie.. I was watching this film recently and this scene stood out for me.. The direction, the music, the cast👏 I tear every single time I watch this scene.. The pain of a mother who had to abandon her child for her duty towards her war torn country is amazingly potrayed by Nandita Das and the bgm reflects it, touching one's soul.. That small girl, is one of the best child debut ever!! Simran as the mother who brought up the child is equally amazing.. U feel her love, her selfless love for her daughter who wanted the warmth of her birth mother.. I love how they ended the film, mother is mother whether she gives birth or not.. ARR is a magician, period!! I wonder had it been another MD in his place, would this scene be as impactful?? I think NO.. His soul stirring bgm just tore through my heart.. Best BGM EVER!! This IMO the best film Maniratnam has ever directed and its impossible to match this scene..
