Is Sidharth Malhotra underrated?

At least I think so!I'm not saying this bcoz I'm a Sidian,but otherwise also I think he is underrated as an actor!I don't know why but in India,people has a mindset that models can't act!N if a model is acting good,they still don't want to appreciate it!I know he wasn't outstanding in SOTY,but he wasn't that bad also!N after that he has shown a great improvement in HTP!N the best part was EV,he was perfect in it!N I haven't seen Brothers,so I can't say about it!Now discuss it guys...

I think he is decent in acting.I liked him in Hasee to Phasee.

He is stiff and needs to work a lot on his dialogue delivery .. I like him onscreen, he is charming and of he improves it will be bonus for his fans ..

he is a decent actor...not wooden as members claim to be...yes he does hv a huge scope of improvement

Nope, he is rated just fine. He is not bad but not outstanding either.

Like, most heroes show their machismo or courage by saving the heroine and doing heroic stuff, but there you get a character who is so impressed by the heroine's intelligence. He wasn't intimidated by her superiority, but admired her for it sincerely. I think Sid played the character so well- the way Nikhil encourages Meeta to come out of her blues and gives her a reality check when she needs it.

Though Meeta (Parineeti's character) is more powerful, the movie wouldn't have been so impactful if it weren't for Sid underplaying Nikhil so beautifully and lending credence to the pairing.

And the scene where he is not put off by her inability to control her bladder, and where he hugs her in repentance for locking her in the room- that scene is pure gold and made me a Sid fan for life.

So true,dude!It's my fav character of Sid!His acting was better in EV,but I liked the imperfect Nikhil more!Like u said,Nikhil isn't the typical hero,but for me that's the best part of this character!Every scene of this film is just beautiful!All the scenes r my fav,including the scenes u mentioned,n beside this I loved this scene,when Nikhil comes back home heartbroken,n his conversation with Meeta,is just adorable!N the whole wedding part,n mostly when Nikhil runs in the sherwani with the background music Manchala,is just love!N every time I watch the film,I think where's my Nikhil!When will my Nikhil come to my life!Uff 😳
