@Minni ji, Ranking will also get change coz and it changes for those movies only which had big collections and u will see those movies only on that list not that new movies will come. Those huge collections now adjusted with modern time will be ahead only. This is not complete list half list coz their data. So before 1996 lists also matters.

Lots of big movies will come pre 1996 update lists such as HAHK, DDLJ, Beta, Tridev, Saajan, MPK, Ghayal, khalnayak, Baazigar, Darr, Baaghi,etc.

Well they should be a little professional and point out what basis are they using for inflation

For example box office mojo also has such list but they provide refrence like

* Adjusted to the estimated 2015 average ticket price of $8.39. Inflation-adjustment is mostly done by multiplying estimated admissions by the latest average ticket price. Where admissions are unavailable, adjustment is based on the average ticket price for when each movie was released (taking in to account re-releases where applicable).

^ Indicates documented multiple theatrical releases. Most of the pre-1980 movies listed on this chart had multiple undocumentented releases over the years. The year shown is the first year of release.

suppose movie A makes 10 dollars...B makes 15 dollars ...and C makes 20 dollars...now if u are multiplying these numbers by the same number...how will their ranking change...unless u are changing the ORIGINAL AMOUNT for each movie...got it??The rankings should never change even if the rate goes up and down...and yes updating agar honi hai...then why even celebrate for anything...shouldn't we just wait for the next update??
