HR debut was also very good I think its besht after Salman an BB movie at debut. Songs superhit and that Ek pal ka jeena song became rage and so that step of HR. It made HR over night superstar.

when you want to talk about this case its not about the film is asuccess or not but its about what happened to this new actor

salman film release but in atime that bollywood dont have big star power at the bo and the competetion is limited and he didnt became the big factor in the film

but hrithik just look at all youth actor today all of them look at hrithik debut not any one else its the best debut ever

why because he didnt just make ahit film but he make the biggest film that beat the khan in their strongest day and power and get all the possible award and change the defination of actors infact to make it more clear with salman its all about the film but with hrithik its all about him

even forbes magazing talk about hrithik popularity he did something like justin bieber

both had a good debut...dnt knw abt Sallu's debut though had read abt it... but have witnessed the rage that HR created...He was an overnight sensation..."Ek pal ka jeena" had created a lot of craze...

MPK is an iconic movie no doubt about that. Salman's best movie till date for me

However Hrithik debut was the best for me in Bollywood. I don't think anyone has shown the kind of matured acting he had shown as debut actor . Two characters played completely differently was no mean feat. and his dancing obviously is from another planet.

Also I was too young when Salman debuted so don't know the rage about him except I saw my brother wearing those friends cap. However when HR debuted, I was in school and girls (and boys too) went completely gaga over him. I had two big posters of him and that was the 1st time I bought some movie star's poster 😛

I think HR's debut was more sensational. I can't believe how huge he became overnight. Many people have said that it was a once in a lifetime craze. There never has been one and never will be one quite like that again (industry insiders have said this, not me). But I can't fairly assess because I wasn't born when Salman debuted so I don't know how well it did for him at the time.

They're both perfect in their own way though because these actors are still fondly remembered from their respective debuts despite being well-established with such solid body of work now. That itself means they left quite a mark.

They both got got perfect launch, not to forget Aamir's QSQT (technically) and Ajay's phool aur kaanten.

As some1 said, MPK was abt the movie itself and then Prem-Suman, music and other things. KNPH was all abt Hrithik. How many ppl rem. Ameesha's name in the film? Despite being industry kids, both were almost unknown when the films released. It picked up by WOM. Salman brought abt change in body building for guys and HR brought Dancing as integral part for male stars. Friends cap became popular, and rimless glasses became popular. HR had more chances show his range in 2 roles. And since him therez draught of superstar in BW. Amir,salman and srk,were much established by then and HR was was pitted against all 3 of them.

HR signed so many movies b4 KNPH released and it backfired...directors were confused coz HR became too big and his roles were not that big. The rest is history.

And yes, the Hrithik mania was just seen to be believed. KNPH wasnt a kids movie and yet he became kids' hero too.

was not even born when mpk came 😆 nobdody is sally fan here in faimly hardly any1 talk about it rather i have seen talking them about ajay entry in phool aur kaante

while i witness hrthik debut that hysteria i never seen and i know i cant see it again in my life

that ek pal ka jeena step and kaho na pyar ke wala step

he even kick bakra ass 👍🏼

as far as boxoffice i think mpk has little edge 👍🏼

and bot hhad great grand debut for sure
