The one you posted and also the scene where he is overwhelmed and narrates his experiece to his daughter with a simple bg score being played in the background. No words nothing, just his expressions. Totally bittersweet moment. I absolutely heart that scene. Thank you for posting this. ❤️

Aw you are welcome!😃 I am glad you liked it.

I also love the scene where sadashiv amrapurkar's ghost appears and Nawaz tells how he played a 60 yr old in a stage play and everyone was so convinced by his act that they clapped for several minutes. Nawaz was just love in that scene man...❤️

^^ Absolutely, man! The guy is a star. That bit where he asks for the dialogues, so that he could prepare and improvise, he just nails it, what an endearing actor.

Even while watching NewYork, I remember being teary eyed when he narrates his experience and also when he dies. But I didn't know who the guy was, he was not even a recognized face, much later when I was watching his interviews, he talked about that role and I was surprised that he's the same guy. Having said that, it was still a sad scene so it was bound to leave an impact. But this man leaves an impact in almost all kinds of scenes, small or big, funny or serious.

Is hollywood allowed? I tried finding some scenes but fell short. Lots of actors, can't recall them all...To cut it short, here's 1 scene I did find.
Not just the acting, it's brilliantly written.

I often wonder whether great acting is filling the character's shoes so completely, that there's not a vestige of the actor's own personality. Or is it about the charisma and intensity.
It's about well-written roles too of course. But I do rather like intense actors with certain signature tics and mannerisms.

Nawaz is one of those who fits so completely into every character and has such an intensity. I have seen him in Kahaani and the Lunchbox and he's super in both films which have very different characters. In one, he's the tough cop who overshadows all at his workplace inspite of his short stature(which i felt was intentionally focused on) and a diffident novice in the Lunchbox. He wins in versatility by far outstripping Irfaan Khan.

I'm not a big fan of Madhuri Dixit, but I loved her in Pukaar. Of course, the theme of unrequited love anyway drives everyone to tears.
