HAHK was a hit first because of its direction and story(or lack there of, what with all the song and dance...), then because of its family feel good setting, then because of Madhuri and her costumes and dances, then because of Madhuri-Salman pairing...Madhuri and Salman pairing was definitely a crowd puller but only to a certain age group...

And it doesn't take rocket science to understand that Madhuri was already an established star by then and Salman was just an emerging star...I rest my case here!

Lol, I just watched the video...What the heck is he going on about, really?? You can't demand, you command bla bla bla...He looked like he was about to cry that the matter got revealed...He could've just said, I hope its true and kept quite...What's all that command, demand mumbo jumbo???

First of all I am disgusted that this thing is such a headline that the female reporters there felt the need to raise a point on it and ask him about it...How often do the heroines get asked if its true that so and so hero got paid more than the heroine of the movie???Unless our mindsets change, women won't get true liberation...

I still dont get how Anupam find out Salman and Madhuri's salary? he was neither Producer nor director.. It cud be he was just saying to make argument for gender equality but it looks it wasnt true.

On the contrary, it looks its totally true considering Madhuri's stardom at that time...She was the only superstar in the movie - at that time in '96...
