In the USA at least, no one really cares. One of my most favorite professors in univ was Indian..he once postponed one of my exams for me when I went up to him the day of, literally. He allowed me to take it later...it was something you weren't allowed to do but he did it for me (long story otherwise) ..and whenever I've brought up this story with any of my friends they'd always say that's because he helped another desi out. Lol. Though till this day I'd like to believe that he helped me because I was a rather good student in need at that time. 😆. Either way, these are the kind of things I've experienced here. Some of the people you don't get along with, be it Indian, Pakistani or Bangladeshi is because of how they are as a person towards you not because of what part of the subcontinent they're from.
