LOL. I have a LOT of Indian friends and they are not at all like some of the members on this forum. I remember that in my leadership class a gori called Gandhi an incompetent leader and i went ballistic on her ass and my Indian friend gave me a thumbs up and later she trashed another gori because she got into an argument with me over Malala. That is the reason i am staying away from these threads because the people who are spewing this hatred are the filth of the nations and are only acting so brave because they have a computer to hide behind.

India and Bangladesh are more close geographically than India-Pakistan.

This story reminds me of my encounter with a friend I met through IF. We've been friends thanks to IF for a long time and she's from Pakistan. She visited Sri Lanka a couple of years back to watch some cricket matches in Colombo and we finally met. I still remember how excited I was to actually meet an online friend whom I've never met before 😆

We had so much fun that day. I ended up spending the entire day with her and her family. Her dad was so sweet and he had no idea what IF was 😆 Anyways hopefully I'll visit her in Karachchi next year or so *fingers crossed*

I'm an Indian and very few resident Indians care for Gandhi. Can't vouch for this forum though. Netaji was our leader who Gandhiji was massively jealous of.

My best friend for last ten years is a Pakistani...and I love her to death...I can trust her with my life...
There are certain unwritten rules between us...we don't discuss India-Pakistan relations..
We don't watch India-Pak cricket match..
We usually watch movies together but we don't watch movies like PHANTOM together...

Our friendship has survived for 10 years...but it requires a lot of respect for each other's views and religion...

Probably you don't know much about Gandhi then. It's really interesting that the west builds more statues of Gandhi today than India. And apart from paying lip service, when did they ever follow ahimsa?

I have Pakistani and Chinese friends too. And yeah, that's a thumb rule. Never discuss poiltics if you want to keep your friendship intact.

Well i guess not. I am of the school of thought that the leaders on both sides should be revered because if it weren't for them we wouldn't have independent countries to begin with.
