Tinsel town is abuzz with reports of Sidharth Malhotra stepping into Hrithik Roshan's shoes for the second installment of action film 'Bang Bang'.
However, there has been no official announcements regarding the same.
But in an exclusive interview with us, Sidharth Malhotra, when asked about 'Bang Bang 2', revealed, "Work is in progress. It is too early to talk or comment about it."
On being probed further, Sidharth smilingly replied, "There is nothing official yet. Whenever it happens I shall let you all know."
Interestingly, reports also suggest that Sidharth's 'Brothers' co-star Jacqueline Fernandez will be seen opposite him. She is said to have replaced Katrina Kaif.
Quiz Sid on how excited is he if she is his leading lady?
"I didn't have a single scene with Jacqueline. She is a very hard working girl and the fact that she has made it till here is a proof of it. During the promotions we gelled up really well. And she suits the bill perfectly for the sleek action that is required for the movie. So I am looking forward to work with her... If that happens (laughs), " admits the young lad.
Well Sid.. Do we read between the lines?!

EXCLUSIVE: Sidharth on Brothers' business: Now I am into Bollywood's box office game!
August 20, 2015 Urvi Parikh |
Sidharth Malhotra stunned all with his power packed role in 'Brothers' which hit the screens last week. In the film, Malhotra has been seen doing some hard core action and is also pitted against B-town's Khiladi Akshay Kumar.
While many of them initially couldn't believe that Sidharth could do action, since the release of the film's promos, things seemed to have been in his favour. Critics and masses appreciated his efforts and performance.
Ask him if that has boosted his confidence to try action films and he admits, "Yes I think with this more so because I worked a lot on the look in the movie. I tried to be something that I am not. That risk taking of doing a role which has no girl, more action and grey shade, something opposite to what I am in real life, has paid off. Especially the action bit. People could finally believe that I can hit. It pays off to try something which is completely off my image. I took the plunge and it is exciting as well as satisfactory."
He adds, "Time taken to prep for the role was worth it. The response is encouraging and has given me confidence to try more action films."
'Brothers' also collected 52 crores in the opening weekend, highest for Sidharth. Ask him if he was expecting this kind of response and he says, "Yes, we were expecting it to be good. There were enough indications about it ever since the trailer released. Also, I have many reasons to be happy. I came after a year since 'Ek Villain' released and there was a want in people to see me. Now I feel I am into the Bollywood box office game and I am trying to be excited."
Meanwhile, Sidharth is now gearing up for his next film 'Kapoor and Sons' opposite Fawad Khan and Alia Bhatt, followed by 'Kal Jisne Dekha' with Katrina Kaif.
Way to go Sid!
