By ur logic if Sid gets half the credit...and so Varun should get half the credit too...then Akshay is equal to SRK in stardom...do u think he is??
Anyways...of course Varun will get some credit...but not half...
In the first few days...a movie runs on star power and how the trailer was...and then WOM takes over...no matter if there are 10 SRKs and 10 varuns...if the WOM is bad...they can't save the movie...
SRK gave the the then highest first day with CE and then again the highest with HNY...42 crores which is still unbroken...He made a 100 cr in 3-4 days...lets say ABCD2...which BTW was a sequel to a popular hit movie...made a 100 some crores...HNY a very bad movie made more than the life time of ABCD 2 in just 3 days...I don't remember any of the previous Varun movies opening even at double digits ...so u can decide how much credit Varun should be given...
According to me a movie runs the first few days because of star power and then solely based on WOM...and everyone deserves credit for it...from the main leads...to supporting actors...to director...to hit music and of course content..
Varun is a great guy...and he will be at the top in next 10 odd years...but lets be realistic for now as to what his star power is...
I know if Dilwale is a hit...this forum is going to go berserk with how Varun deserves this credit and that credit...but God forbid if it flunks...no one will remember Varun...that is what happens in a Khan movie...do u think if it was a Khan in Brothers...Sid would be getting any credit at all??
