SID packs a punch

When a newcomer is pitted against an established actor, it is expected that he/ she will be overshadowed by the latter. There's however an exception in Sidharth's case. The actor has starred opposite Akshay Kumar in their recently released film Brothers. Where people are talking about Akki's powerful performance in the film, Sid's impeccable form is being discussed equally. Brothers has received a great opening at the box office and continues to do good business. This venture has certainly put Sidharth on the map once again and helped increase his popularity even more.

Actors often get stuck in the rut of essaying monotonous roles. Sid however has managed to escape this trend by showcasing his versatility. And today, he is being raved about for his character as Monty Fernandez in Brothers, for which Sid has worked real hard. Not only has the actor made it a point to physically transform himself to suit each character but has also worked on the emotions to get his part right. His ability to enact varied roles is what makes him a tough contender in the Bollywood race.

Newcomer Vs Newcomer

Sid has forever been pit against Varun Dhawan. The two started off their Bollywood journey with Student Of The Year and are now competing to stay on top of the game. Let's just say the plot of SOTY has become a reality for Sid and Varun. Even though one hears more about Varun's popularity in the market, Sid's ventures prove to be more successful at the box office. The actor's both films Ek Villain and Brothers, managed to receive a bigger opening than Badlapur. Though Varun is out there and often markets himself to the fullest, Sid's box office success speaks for itself and gives us a hint on who really takes the bigger piece of the cake in the end.

Silence is the best policy

Sid cannot particularly be called social media friendly. The actor only takes to sites like Twitter and Facebook, when he has to promote a film. Even so, he is one of the most popular newcomers in Bollywood today, which says something. The actor has proven that celebs need not market themselves and go all out for publicity. A celeb's stature and their work should be enough to put them in the spotlight, for which Sid is a clear example. Even though Sid is talented, it's very important for every star to have a mentor and the actor has Bollywood's most popular personality on his side- Karan Johar. Kjo has always vouched for Sid and has given him a platform to showcase his talent with films like SOTY, Hasee Toh Phasee and now Brothers. The actor will be seen in the Dharma honcho's film Kapoor & Sons Since 1921 very soon alongside rumored girlfriend Alia Bhatt. Aside from a mentor like Kjo, Sid has rocking pairings with leading actresses of B-town which adds to his popularity. Be it Shraddha Kapoor, Parineeti Chopra or Alia Bhatt, Sid has shared a sizzling chemistry in each of them and fans can't wait for his pairing with Alia in Kapoor & Sons. Even though Sid doesn't have a leading lady in Brothers, the actor has managed to shine on the big screen.
