SRK debuted that year... but still couldn't make it to the front page. Not that much of a dhamaka debut, honestly (despite Deewana being a musical hit). 😛 He was a bit awkward - voice, body language, hair style... but showed sign of talent. His breakthrough role came in Baazigar - 1993 👏.

Madz vs Sri race was heating up. Media kept them in news and a section of them wanted Madz to dethrone Sri officially... but they stayed jointly at No.1 for 1992 and '93. Madz had the biggest hit that year in Beta while Sri had the successful Khuda Gawah. The trade was yet to make a final call on who the QUEEN was.

Juhi further made the race very interesting as she had a series of successful films in '92 and '93. She pulled "Deepika 2013" success in 1993😆 The trade thought Juhi was in fact the new No. 1 but it was short lived until the second half of 1994 when Madz left everyone behind with ATBB HAHK⭐️

Divya was the face of the year... she had a record no. of releases for a debutante in a year (~10), perhaps ever! Too sad she passed away 😭 I wonder what would the rest of 90s look like had she been around. W'ld she let Kajol or Karisma thrive? Makes for an interesting What-If analysis.

Dont know abt others but as far as I remember, Divya Bharti and SRK were HOT in 1992. Deewana was a BIG hit, the songs were superhits, their new jodi was superhit!

Madhuri and Sridevi were fighting it out for #1 Heroine position. Beta was superhit.

Cannot recall Jackie Shroff being so popular in 1992...😕

Juhi was in top 3 as her Bol Radha Bol was a big hit.

JJWS and Raju Ban gaya Gentleman were critically appreciated and did decent business so both Aamir and SRK were doing good movies though not getting blockbusters yet.
