Umm..first of all SRK didn't do the film because he was struggling. He did it because it was a screen adaptation of Madame Bovary, one of the most critically acclaimed novels. He did it because he was into theater at that time and was trying different genres. It wasn't done because he had no work, or he was struggling or for money. You do films like Chamatkaar for commercial success and money, not an extremely bold theme like MM.

On a serious note.
Just as I can't judge Jacqueline for what she did, I don't think anyone has the right to judge strugglers to do the things they do.As much as I would want to call a woman a s**t for sleeping with a producer, somewhere deep down, I realize that NOBODY would ever choose to, voluntarily and happily do a soft-core movie like Maya Memsaab, or sleep with someone as heinous as Sajid Khan. This industry is as f**ked up as we hear about it and more, so if a struggler really wants to get ahead, they will compromise themselves at some point.Sorry for sounding like a moral police, but maybe don't judge SRK just for this one thing. He's done TONS of other shit after being successful though, for which you should probably rip shreds of him.
I don't think SRK should be or would be ashamed of working in Maya Memsaab. It's adapted from a very critically acclaimed classic novel. It was an experimentation. It wasn't executed as nicely, but they tried & I don't think anybody rekated to this film should be ashamed of it 😆 I am glad SRK did this film, infact. Wish he'd experiment now & go back to his 90's self again.
