Kudos Deepika for supporting such a great cause!

Thanks to the member who shared her video in the earlier pages. Deepika comes across as very genuine and I have to applaud her on coming out in the open and speaking about it.

A couple of years back when I was told by my friend that her dad went through depression in his earlier years, I thought to myself "Wonder why people brood on something for so long and for no reason. He should take things lightly" and that's it.

And right now as I write, I have a dear one in my life who is battling depression. And this person used the exact words that Deepika used "empty, directionless". Depression is a very serious condition and can change and affect a person severely. And now that I have seen from upclose how it affects a person, I have only huge regards for Deepika for doing whatever she is doing. Kudos once again!

And regarding whether she should provide support to other foundations supporting this cause or setup her own foundation, I would say, it's her wish what she wants to do. She's atleast trying to help people and that's what matters in the end.

And no, am not a Deepika fan. Infact, I despise her the most amongst all actresses right now in BW. But for this, a huge salute to her!

Tamasha shooting is a wrap, it was officially announced.
Shortly before/after the Foundation Agains Depression is launched. The name sounds like someone watched Eat, Pray, Love one time too much.
This time, since there is no danger to be overshadowed by Anushka Sharma & her genuine confession about anxiety issues, it is not about mental health issues in general, it is only about depression. A cause close to dee-Piku ka heart.
& right along all of this, @evildesire created this topic, seemingly out of nowhere.
What a perfect alignment of pure coincidence... again.

All in all, good cause. Too bad she's using the good cause to churn publicity for her movies. No wonder the credibility gets lost...

I suffer from depression and anxiety but I can never remember the dates and times, because when I get it it's unpredictable.

I usually have a journal as well but I don't always like to write everything because some things are best to keep inside. I don't doubt she had depression and stuff but if that was me I wouldn't even go on and on about suffering from it because it's not something to be proud of, it's something I have to fight and use that time to do other things and make myself happy.

It is a good cause and more people need to do more and have more facilities to fight depression, I personally think more needs to be done, especially in this day and age because especially the UK a lot of people have mental stress, depression and anxiety. Not enough being done.
