Hmm it depends how good Basu copys other movies i think he was a master in Barfi for that maybe he achieves the same for JJ.

Ranbir's a type-cast actor. His Rom-Coms have done really well whether YJHD or a dramedy like Barfi. That's what he should stick to. Trying a masala like Besharam or a wanna-be film noir like BV won't yield results for him.

that's what he is trying to change because he is not getting satisfied doing same thing again n again... hasn't worked so far...i am waiting for ayan's superhero movie or some thriller or period etc to judge his versatility...
his natural acting works well for romcoms or dramas but has gotten busted for larger than life roles...

and ROY (music was big hit) opening shows nothing... because Bombay Velvet opening spilled everything

he is best in his genre
