Don-The chase begins has finally hit the theaters to full houses. Thanks to the long Diwali weekend. After being compared with not only the old Don but also Jaan-e-mann, which released on the same day, the reviews are now pouring in. Many critics have bashed the film saying that it is a failed attempt by director Farhan Akhtar to remake a classic like Don. But, well there are a few who hold a view against the common critical one in fact director of the original Don, Chandra Barot is all praises of the remake. "The director has done a commendable job. Also technically it is a brilliant film. The old Don is still fresh in mind and that is the main reason for comparison," added Barot. "I actually felt like watching Matrix, The fast and the furious or a Bond film. The lighting, shooting and location of the film is incredible," said Omar Qureshi - Editor, Indiatimes Movies. Regional General Manager, Inox Theater, Umesh Bikhchandani said, "The opening has been quiet extraordinary. Ticket sales are brisk." After all the hype and hoopla surrounding the remake, its now time to talk business. It surely looks like, the Diwali weekend has given the film that added push at the box office.
