There is no middle line in this actually- either you can or you can't! Of course insensitive stuff can be wrong but most jokes are made on untrue facts or rumours so how can one distinguish? Actually tbh from the POV of fans they will never accept the rumours about their favs anyways so they don't find the jokes funny that's why I had asked the question.

See if it's done in the correct vein, then I don't see why not. Unfortunately, the problem with indian sense of humour in general is that they find amusement at the expense of another person. People tend to hide their insult behind the garb of 'humour' which I think is distasteful. Same holds for the celebs. I thought the troll memes on Alok Nath and recently Mohnish Behl were really funny and a person who can laugh at themselves wouldn't take offense to that. But not everything is that way. The jokes against Alia were imo offensive though I admit I did laugh at them.

Exactly fans usually find it hard to accept jokes about their favs cause they try to reason with people & give facts which usually spoils the whole point of the joke.

I agree! The Alia jokes in my opinion were really funny of course. When she goofed up in KWK, yes people made jokes, they laughed but what I found annoying was that the jokes didn't stop. Poor kid was bullied everywhere cause of that. Like how much can one take it- Alia has to lose it one day. Jokes are nice but they become annoying when they become too much. Alok Nath & Mohnish Behl memes were really funny yes but I don't think anybody would mind much in that cause those were more about the characters than their true selves. It is harder to take jokes on one's own character.
I don't think it is only Indian sense of humour, many other countries do find amusement at the expense of another person. I have seen it in the US too!
Mocking humour is the worst- Hiding behind the insult is what most people do. That is a jibe not a joke actually!
