9xe.com was the first to report that Deepika Padukone had consented to do Dhoom 3 director Vijay Krishna Acharya's next starring Hrithik Roshan. We were also the first to tell you that Hrithik would play the male lead in the film. However, a recent development suggests that the actress is no longer associated with the project.
Interestingly, Deepika's entry coincides with Amitabh Bachchan's entry into the project.
A source close to the film reveals that Bachchan recently finished a look test for the film and has officially come on-board.
For those who've come in late, the actress hadn't invited the senior actor at her film's success bash, a snub that became the talk of town.
Adds the source, "They no longer want to work together and both are in a position where they can choose who to work with, who to avoid. As things stand now, a new heroine is likely to be launched opposite Hrithik."
While Deepika's publicists maintained that she hasn't even "heard" about this project, a spokesperson from YRF said they wouldn't like to "react to the story" until a formal announcement is made.
