Mohit Suri's Ek Villain starring Shraddha Kapoor and Sidharth Malhotra was a massive success. The venture made it to the 100 crore club and Sid- Shraddha's sizzling chemistry worked wonders on the big screen. The same however cannot be said about the director's latest film, Hamari Adhuri Kahani starring Vidya Balan and Emraan Hashmi. The film has failed to make big bucks at the box office and hasn't been well received by the film critics either. Mohit was supposed to take some time off post HAK, but the plan has been canned. The director has reportedly begun work on his upcoming film Half- Girlfriend, which is based on the novel written by popular Indian author, Chetan Bhagat.

If reports are to be believed, the casting process of the film has begun and the script is being revamped to the T. Rumours are abuzz that Mohit was considering casting his cousin Alia Bhatt for the film. Now that would certainly be pretty interesting, eh? But it may not work out after all. Reports suggest that Mohit's equation with the Bhatts is experiencing troubled waters currently.Well we hope things get sorted out soon and Mohit casts Alia as the lead!

Confused article. First it says Mohit is considering Alia and then at the end implies it ain't happening cause of strained relations between him and the Bhatts. 😕

Alia claims to be 5'6" but she looks like she could be 5'4". Varun is not 5'10". There is not way he's taller than 5'7". He's just invested in some lefts and trick shoes.

I don't think this is true though. Mohit recently basically said he doesn't have anything for Alia now. And even went as far as saying he won't cast Alia just so he can get a 100cr and try to match her last box office numbers. He seemed rather annoyed with the suggestion of Alia's name into the conversation.

I thought Varun and Kriti were pretty much confirmed for HG. And between Dishoom and Shuddhi it will be a while before this movie even goes on the floor.

They are cousins? News to me when I on the other hand have read a lot about bolly relations.

More interested in the Sidharth-Aditya movie! What happened to that? Who is the heroine? Shraddha? That would be nice, I wouldnt mind.

Mohit's mom is Mahesh Bhatt's sister. Mohit and Alia are first cousins. Both of them on different occasions have referred to each other as brother and sister too.

why does mohit suri turn out to be everybody's cousin ? first emraan hashmi's, then Alia's .. then why not cast emraan and alia ?

It's Bollywood. Everyone is related to everyone else somehow. It would be a much shorter list if we find people with no blood connection in Bollywood 😆.

Emraan and Alia are cousins too so that would be creepy if they are cast as a romantic pair.
