Varun is doing well!

Ranveer is not a star, he only got 1-2 hits and several flops.

Who cares about flops. Its the body of work and whether they are a good and versatile actor.

its like people here are comparing 'High School Musical' and movies like that which was a HIT globally

to '10 years a slave' which won an oscars and awards but did not have as much hype and fanfare.

IN Today's time, you won't get work by giving Flops/Average/Semi-Hit films & Not Hit/Superhit films.

Bigger star was the question not better actor. Therefore go by box-office and opening figures, hence varun is a bigger star than ranveer

I like Ranveer but when it comes to Box Office he has poor record and not as popular in the real world. There are many people I know who has no idea who he is.

While Ranbir has made a name for himself and people do like him unlike here on IF. Right now he is going through bad phase but will bounce back.

Varun has a bright future and seems to going there, he just needs to use his talent wisely and also keep on working on his short comings

So yes Varun has surpassed Ranveer when it comes to BO but still behind Ranbir.

but the quality of the film.

He can give as many hit as he likes but that does not change the fact he has done crappy films with no original content minus one.

That's exactly why he's a bigger star. According to me if you can made a mediocre film successful that's a sign of stardom. And promotions can only make people aware about your film, it can't bring them into the theatre. ABCD2 had a not so good trailer and yet it's opened well.

Who cares if u don't care? Ignoring BO perspective & asking only quality films which sinking at BO like titanic will only invite a kick for star outside the industry 😆

Well Sorry.

I may not be able to understand because I ain't a die hard fan that will sit through his movie because he is in it.

I have not seen the trailers but they were giving news about the trailer, posters, photo shopping, re photo shopping ages before the film was released. Not to mention putting him on front covers of magazines.

Sure they had billboards, tv commercials airing the trailer aswell

of course all this hooplah will spark interest.

His film did well but so far none of his body of work has been very good.
