Ranbir might be going through a bad phase but he has had bigger hits & is still on top among the new gen. actors as said by BOI also. Varun might have overtaken Veer as his closest competitor for now with an outstanding 2015.

Haha i knew this kind of post will come up 😆 and after Brothers releases the same with Sid. Nobody is a star of them the only potential was Ranbir but even he struggles. Your only good as your last movie. Like people earlier said Ranbirs right decisions made him what he is today and media called him Superstar but he has only 2 movies which are in the 100cr. club and after YJHD almost reached 200cr. they made him Megastar like the Khans. I think people forgetting that at the end of the day what matters its the movie itself why people are going to watch it ( music, trailer, WOM and than budget) these things are not totally affected by the name. biggest excample is Kangana right now and even DDD. Big names were attached to DDD and of course people are interested but still they wait for the trailer and how the songs work which was the biggest disappointment. And now Varun is equally in the same position like Ranbir with the kind of decisions he makes. And Till now these movies worked and Dilwali and shuddi will not be different. To say he is a bigger star or superstar just that his movies are not tag average or flop i dont attache all the success only to Varun. Coming to Ranveer his decisions are completely different i would say he experimented too early with the kind of movies he has done. To his favour only Ram-Leela worked and everything was right in that movie starting with trailers, songs and chemistry with deepika. Even gunday had a really good start but the budget and wom was effected and now DDD. So if we only go by the status of the movies yeah Varun is bigger but going by acting ability he didnt reach the level of Ranveer and Ranbir. But that he has done Badlapur is definetely good but it showed also that he still has to work on himself.

I think Varun and Ranveer are on the same level

right now Varun is the go to boy for films geared towards teens.

Varun is bigger than Ranveer in every way, even BO wise also, Ranbir got little bit edge coz of seniority.

Varun with ABCD2 has beaten Ranveer, Arjun & Sid by miles...

Ranbir is a star, the others are in no way in his league so far.
