With the right training and fixing, she can do pretty well. But bollywood is a very political place ... She'll only end up ruining her image.

She is pretty and talented than most BW artists who are at the top for no reasons.

Say, if she ends up doing well ... I want Sanam Saeed to follow her. She is more talented than MK.

Ewww Mahira Khan. I haven't seen any of her work but I've seen a talk show she hosted and she's so friggin boring and annoying. She's also ugly.

If they really wanted to select an actress from Pakistan they should've picked Iman Ali!! She's beautiful and a good actress. She's also not annoying unlike Mahira.

Btw, does the movie really reflect Pakistan ? I mean are they getting more and more open with boys and girls ? Even now that I attend Muslim weddings or reception, boys and girls have separate sittings...

Pakistan's culture is definitely becoming more open. Girls and Guys dance together and stuff during weddings etc. Girls and guys do outing together, party together, go on trips together etc.

Love marriages are happening even more today. There was a time it was considered a no-no. but Many families have become accepting towards it.

During weddings they do give the option to separate men and women but only because women can have their little kitty party, and men can indulge in their political discussions. or they can simply chose to sit in family, together!

Now obviously, it's not happening everywhere, but mostly, I would say 70% are becoming or have become modernized. Especially the well off people, who believe in a modern life style.

Like there are schools for only girls and schools for only boys and then there are schools that have girls and boys. So it's a mix but from my latest experience, the younger generation has definitely become very modernized, like we who live overseas are less modernized if we were to compare. 😆

So yes, this is reflecting the younger generation

She's mechanical because of the role she's playing, it's in character according to the novel. She's not supposed to be dancing with energy or generally dancing..

I don't think she herself will continue in Bollywood post Raees. She can't work long schedules where she's away from her son which is why chooses only one specific project a year, maximum two.

LMAOOO at people who claim she is ugly...if Mahira Khan is ugly then Shraddha, Kriti Sanon, and all these other newbies are even worse. She is beautiful MashAllah, and is slaying it right now in every project she's entering into. Bin Roye is going to release in Pakistan on Eid ul Fitr and be a huuuge hit, the trailer looks good.

I can't wait until Raees releases! I'm going to watch FDFS, it is my most awaited movie atm because:

1. Shahrukh Khan (my favourite)
2. Mahira Khan (awesome actress + beautiful)
3. Nawazuddin Siddiqui (extremely underrated and awesome actor)

I have extremely high hopes and I hope Mahira absolutely kills her role.

On topic, can she make it big in Bollywood? Yes definitely but a good start in Raees will be crucial.

Agree with everything you said except for that 70% figure. Most of the country living in rural areas is still pretty conservative to things like guys-girls mingling and love marriage. But yes, in the metro cities like Karachi and Lahore, everything has become open and liberal. I actually like it because a good balance is being maintained. Guys-girls are hanging out together, whether as a group of friends or alone, but as long as they are over doing it, it's all good.
