Are you Salman Khan fans hena? I want to make you happy, Deepika will end up her single life with salman Khan. 😆 but need to wait for Ranbir & Katrina first. 😛

^ but RK never shied away from saying he wants to be a big star. Even few days back he said he keeps tabs on his contemporaries and what films they have signed or how their performances are rated. This is infact is a good thing coz it keeps him in his toes. Having said that a good performance/film takes an actor a long way in establishing credibility. People still mention Wake up Sid while talking about RK's career even tho it was merely a hit.

I agree with you I think the perfect matching and mixing is important for actors. No young actor can afford to do just slice of life movies. All of them want to reach more people with their movies everybody wants to reach out to masses but they cant neglect the multiplex and quality movies. To be big star the star has to woo all crowds. I think Ranveer has that potential his entertaining persona works for people. he is building a base but he should do more movies a year. Varun is doing and finishing movies quickly he is very smart in choice of movies. Ranveer needs to do it he is new he should not make same mistake of HR of doing less movies a year.

Yup RK has maintained he wants to be a superstar..But I think he has also mentioned,he is never keen on how much money movies reeked in every yr,which is the top grosser of a yr etc etc..I think I read an article with his quote post YJHD when it was hitting 180 Cr mark..RK said Kat is better at giving perspective abt B.O performances of movies, she is good with numbers lol..RK has established good credibility among multiplex audience...But inorder to attain superstardom,he has to woo the more loyal SS viewers too..I agree abt him working on movies like WUS,Barfi for creative satisfaction..But he should also add more YJHDs and Rajneetis to his profile to enjoy good support from moviegoers belonging to different sectors

But it was not a commercial potboiler with hit songs. It was a different film and it was rejected. Waise disaster toh bahot bade stars ne bhi diye , no big deal.
I like Reteish Sidhwani said about budgets lol he said audience should not talk about such stuff cos they don't invest their hard earned money in them, they should only bother about whether they liked the film or not.

But bw forum ppl keep a tab on numbers n use them to bash actors.

Seriously man! They don't think about how good or bad a film is😆

Agree.I dont think these young crop of actors should take such long intervals b/w every movie release.Public memory is short and u cant just disappear for one whole year at start of ur career..Newgen stars cant hold attention of audience and keep them waiting like Khans..Yea I do like the way Varun is building his career graph..He does experiment with a Badlapur once in a while but never stops playing to galleries..Attempting diversified genres is good but Ranveer,Sid,SSR etc has to learn how to strike a balance b/w commercial cinema and the art house, slice of life theme flicks which can only attract a small portion of viewers.

I honestly don get how these BO numbers work😕 I mean yeah, i get that RL is his only clean hit till date but din't BBB & Bitto as a character have more reach than most of his other films till date? Like say JWM for Kareena..JWM was not even a superhit yet Geet is still Bebo's most celebrated role till date..I know BO numbers matter a lot but at times, there are those roles which always remain a benchmark in actor's careers even if the film does average business at the BO..So its not always about how much money a film makes..Its also about the impact it has on the audience..PK might be an ATBB but am pretty sure a lot of ppl ( in real life & not just the internet) still think of Shruti the moment Anu is mentioned..I think its those kind of roles which have the maximum impact on an actor's career..Not just hit films..Even if its an average film, if your role is appreciated & stands the test of time, it can do so much more to your career than an ATBB can ever do IMO..Like Bitto for Ranveer, Sid for Ranbir, Zoya for Parineeti, Geet for Kareena, Veronica for DP etc..All these films have been average grossers at best yet they were all turning points in their respective careers..So i honestly don get why there is so much emphasis on 100 crores, 200 crores etc.

👏

It's the roles n the performances > over the numbers

But then the TM is a youknwowho fan so they go all statistical😆

Khans, HR, Akki, Ajay all had their series of FLOPS for a period of time at some point in their career
AB sr had more pathetic start, 7 flops of something like that in a string
Look where they are today

As long as these young lot get chance to do good movies I'm fine
