You are right Desigal, if this was a non-entertainment event his bosses would have probably fired him or sent him to a shrink for showing up at an event like this in pajamas. It is possible that he's taking advantage of this lack of imposing dress code that all Bollywood functions suffer from just to show off, and exaggerate his own personality and get more attention. But then again, it is also possible that the whole world of Bollywood entertainment makes it easier for him to feed his particular emotional needs that otherwise would have to be addressed by psychiatrist.

Funny thing is that of today's ensemble was an isolated event I would have said he was protesting the event 😆. But today was more like a culmination of weeks or months of over the top behavior.

As far as I can tell..Ranveer's baseline personality is that of being hyperactive. Unless, someone is aware of his baseline personality being different? then that's another story. He doesn't seem to have such manic episodes all of a sudden..he's just always consistently like this. So, no I highly doubt he has bipolar disorder.

Just because he doesn't take himself too seriously, doesn't mean he has a psychiatric disorder. People are merely going off by what he wears to events? People should hear Ranveer's interviews (not something like the AIB knockout)...he seems like any ordinary guy just living his dream.

That's just it. He IS normal most of the time. That's what people with Bipolar have as well. Most of the time they're mood regulation is perfectly normal. But then any stress or emotional trigger can start an episode of excessive high energy manic behavior.

It's really hard to diagnose.

My friend that got diagnosed recently was told that apparently, she probably had it since High School, but wasn't diagnosed.

And I'm not making a diagnosis. I can't.

You'd have to take his history and do a Psych examination, and that needs a lot of experience that's beyond my scope.

But just as a Med Student, his behavior struck me as something I've been learning about for for a while. 😊

We're comparing what with what though? How he dresses at events to how he speaks in his interviews? There's no comparison. You would need to know what Ranveer's baseline is and none of us know that..and from whatever we can tell ...it seems like he doesn't take himself too seriously when making public appearances. That doesn't indicate anything really...especially since this guy is an actor at the end of the day. Let's not forget that actors or celebrities in general have a persona. For all we know, Ranveer may just behave goofy in the public eye because he knows he can get away with it like no one else and has been since forever.

I would say it is hard to tell. I do believe Ranveer is a complicated person. He has such a energetic front that it can be easy to dismiss him, as that energetic guy. It is difficult to consider such people ever hit a low. As an actor he can be naturally good at presenting a front, and hiding what he wants to hide.

It's not like he's Lady Gaga, you know? Dressing like a werido isn't his baseline. It's sporadic.

but it still goes back to what I said earlier - he's a celebrity. These aren't his personal appearances. These are his public appearances. For all we know, acting goofy with fans, paparazzi, etc may just be a persona that he knows he can carry off as an actor. To suppose he may just be bipolar based off of how he behaves in front of the camera is kind of unfair.

Yes, it could just be a case of him being inappropriate for attention. But coupled with his excessive energy and reports of celebrities finding him hard to deal with sometimes, I think it paints a convincing picture for bipolar.

It's more than just his dressing sense I"m basing this on.

He is taking a leaf out of DP's book. Trying to divert attention of underperformance of DDD with different antics.

He is more someone who doesnt like rules and especially not if people saying him how he should behave to gain more audience. And i think this is what they are saying since he started and what he also mentions everytime. I would say he has maybe this function in himself that he does the opposite what people wants him to do. Like someone said its a public appearance nobody behaves the way they are in real life. Some going to a point like Ranveer and some are trying to hard to be cool, shy and mysterious. Right now all these actors after the Khans are noo Superstars these are only actors. The are as good as their last film was. People go and watch the movie if its good and this leads mostly to watch the next one. Did you have a flop movie audiences today dont run again to watch it no matter what. they are waiting for reviews or public response to watch it. People only overanalyses to much and especially if one person behaves different than all the others of course he gets attention and Ranveer is someone who doesnt mind. But this doesnt mean that he is trying hard for it he just doing what he thinks is right for himself. I mean if 20 people have the same opinion and one person has a different opinion do we say he is an attention seeker? Just because there is one black sheep between all the white sheeps is he also screaming for attention. And thats the same with Ranveer he is the only one in bollywood who does his own thing and is different while all the others mostly behaves the way like the society wants them to see. Thats why we gave him all the attention not the other way around. For me attention seekers are people who behave completly different than they have presented themself all the time but in ranveers case he was always like that.
