AB sr was the co producer. No one thought Piku is going to be a success so the profit sharing can be an issue here. AB is not a box office draw but he is a legend. Maybe he wanted a bigger share as he is a veteran and co producer as well.Ego issues can be a reason. Shoojit had attended DP's success bash and Kolkata party(where DP was present) as well... so she doesnt have any issue with him. This whole thing is weird. In yesterday's Telegraph article,DP has credited writer Juhi for Piku's success and even Shoojit but then who knows what happens behind closed doors or it's the media who is playing mischief.

Actually something seems really fishy with all the reports. Seems DP done a mistake and now media even trying to make it a bigger issue out of it . I dont think DP would behave disrespectuf towards ABsr.

It is said that the actress credited "only" herself for the film's success and was heard bragging behind closed doors.

^^ Pretty obvious 😆😆.

Equal pay is not an issue here. It would have made sense if AB Sr. did not invite Deepika to his Piku success party (cause of ego tussle over renumeration), but doesn't make an iota of sense vice versa. 😆

Cause I thought she would have invited him to the party to rub this in too (like she did with Kattu and Bir). 😆 Damn, what an excellent opportunity she missed.

But why are they fighting over paycheck? Isn't Amitabh the producer of the film? (Saraswati Productions)?

OT- Always complaining about money.

Actresses have every right to get equal or more pay but they should decide everything before signing the film. Dont cry after success of film.

If she did not receive her pay check then go and file complain against them but dont give them trouble in the name of stardom. Next time first demand shares in profit and then sign the film.

DP did wrong by not inviting AB in the party. There's no doubt about that.
But AB Sr should also not interfere in the remuneartion discussion of DP
She should at least get equal share of AB for this film to succeed
last week AB graciously declared that he understands Khans, Ranbir, Ranveer, Varun etc are bigger draw NOW at BO
then why cant he take it as a fact that at present day DP or any other leading ladies like PC, Kangy has same BO pull equal to him if not more.

Aamir Khan's production house gets the producer's credit for all his movies though he doesn't pay a single penny for those movies. That's the way it crumbles for big stars.
