The Kerala Story 2 - Official Reviews And Box Office

It seems that Saif Ali Khan is taking Ekta Kapoor's advice to opt for "age-appropriate" roles rather seriously. A few months ago, during a chat, the Balaji head-honcho convinced the actor that he should embrace his age, instead of running from older characters. It has learnt that the actor has agreed to star in director Amit Roy's film, a thriller set in the Northern belt.
Roy has previously directed the yetto-be-released Shoojit Sircar-produced Running Shaadi.com which is yet to find a release. A source close to the development told Mirror, "A few weeks ago, Amit and his team met Saif and discussed the core idea of the film. In the thriller, he will be seen playing a Haryanvi cop for which he will undergo intensive training." In the recent past, Kangana played a Haryanvi girl to perfection in Tanu Weds Manu while Aamir Khan is prepping himself to play a Haryanvi wrestler in Nitesh Tiwari's Dangal.
"He's not just a cop, but father to a teenage son and the story revolves around his attempts to become the hero in the eyes of his son." Last time, Saif played a father on-screen was in the Rani Mukerji-starrer Ta Ra Rum Pum. Other than the Amit Roy film which is likely to star later this year, Saif has Vishal Bhardwaj's next with Shahid Kapoor and Kangana, Vikramaditya Motwane's next and Sujoy Ghosh's adaptation of The Devotion of Suspect X with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

This not a dig at Saif or Shahid but rather, all of Bollywood. What is wrong with this industry? Dates won't match, actors dropping out of roles halfway through movies, delay after delay, can't settle on the date of the movie release, problems with the censor board days before the release, fights over which movie will release when, petty fights between actors, petty fights between directors, production houses that don't have a clue what they are doing, and when all else fails, resorting to the oldest trick in the book by promoting the lead actors as maybe/probably/sort of/not really dating each other in order to promote the movie. This is perhaps business as usual for the industry but it just seems like it's happening more frequently. Whatever the case, I wish this industry get their act together and be more professional. It's confusing for the fans, the audience, the actors, technicians...basically everyone.
